I was born in Boise, and had the pleasure of growing up in the wonderful Treasure Valley. I graduated from Meridian High School in 2000 and in March of 2001, I joined the United States Marine Corps as a rifleman and eagerly shipped off to boot camp. Deploying to Iraq in support of combat operations in 2004 made me decide to pursue this as my career. While in the Marine Corps, I learned the importance of discipline, leadership, commitment, and loyalty among many other traits. I retired in 2016 and moved to Caldwell, Idaho with my high school sweetheart, Nicole.
My wife and I started a small business doing woodwork. My wife, our three children and I enjoy living in Caldwell and are proud to be back home in Idaho. As the grandson of former Meridian Chief of Police, Gene Hiner, and the son of a retired Meridian police officer, I value the hard work of Idaho officers. I grew up seeing the dedication of our local officers. I also greatly value the military veterans in our state. They bring high-value skills, incredible work ethic, and a love of family and country. Unfortunately, our state is losing veterans each year, not to death, but due to moving out of state. I will continue to work diligently to bring forward legislation that will benefit the veterans in Idaho. While I am proud to live in Idaho, I am not proud to see Idahoans struggling under high taxes, government overspending, and politicians turning a deaf ear to the people’s needs. I want to change that.
We deserve to have the public servants we vote into office represent our best interests. We need to have strong, morally sound leaders in office to uphold our rights and be willing to fight for them. I want to make that happen. I promise to not support raising or implementing new taxes, increasing spending, or regulations restricting your God-given rights. Allow me to work for lower taxes, protect your rights, and stop our government from constantly overspending.
